We started the calculation of moment tensor parameters of earthquakes in
　　　　　　　　　　Northern Chile by using the SWIFT system (Nakano et al. 2008). Data can be
　　　　　　　　　　accessed from the geofon data centre at the GFZ German Research Centre for
　　　　　　　　　　Geosciences. Data is freely distributed by the IPOC (Integrated Plate boundary
　　　　　　　　　　Observatory Chile) (www.ipoc-network.org).
